I find the concept of self-promotion to be a difficult one. Those who are truly outstanding within their field usually got there by being eternally dissatisfied with their work and continuously seeking to improve upon it. Anyone who would promote themselves as being extraordinary will, if they believe their own hype, constrain the reach of their abilities.
The truth is, though, that I am good at things – often quite good. More specifically, I’m at good things that are creative and/or technical in nature. Those such which I am not immediately good at I tend to be able to pick up relatively quickly and easily. Of course, anyone could say that. Plenty of people declare similar things with little to no supporting evidence. Here is my evidence.
