Can't tell if I'm just dizzy
or if the ground is moving
We try to stay
in just one place
Standing
on the deck of a ship
Sailing
perhaps off a waterfall
When we wake up
we're not where we slept
A person's the sole landmark
On the path of a person
Everything else moves
too slow or too fast,
the mountains remember
the rivers forget
Only we can move
at the speed of each other
When one of us changes
both of us change
I hope
converging like vines
on a house together
frail, short lines together
But soon
it may be just us
who are keeping that house
from falling apart into dust
